More Information about Non-Life Master Events
This Non-Life Master tournament is a great way to try out duplicate bridge in a friendly setting. Any bridge player with 0-750 Masterpoints and not yet a Life Master is encouraged to play although bridge experience is needed. The 0-200 morning game is especially suited for tournament first-timers. You may play in morning, evening, or both sessions. Winners will receive SILVER points.
ARRIVAL
Doors open at 9 am. Please arrive at least 30-60 minutes before the event. This is a small venue, limiting our number of tables. On-site registration and payment will close 10 minutes before each event. Unfortunately, walk-ins risk being turned away due to lack of space.
EVENT FEE
Price per session is $15 for ACBL members; lapsed members pay an additional $4. Students age 25 and under pay $10 per session. Non-members must join ACBL or obtain a free ACBL guest membership in order to play in any Sectional tournament. All participants must have an ACBL number. LUNCH OPTIONS
Complimentary snacks, coffee, tea, and water will be provided. A list of local restaurants will be posted at the event or you may bring your lunch to eat between sessions. There is plenty of seating to eat your lunch on-site. Please be aware that there may be as little as one hour between sessions so it is best to buy take-out or bring your lunch.
REGISTRATION
Please register in advance. This venue has 20 tables and we have sold out in the past. Pairs who sign up early get first priority. Singles may also sign up but are added to the priority list after they add their partner to their registration. Those who sign up after tables are filled will be put on a waitlist and notified of their status change as soon as possible. All registrants have priority over any walk-ins.

Masterpoint limits apply to each person individually (not average of the two partner MPs).
PAYMENT OPTIONS
We accept Venmo and Zelle for unit and sectional game fees as well as cash! Links and QR codes will be posted at the registration table. Why stand in line? Get into the room and socialize!

PARKING
Parking at The Villa is free. See map for parking options. If you pre-register, you will receive an email prior to the event that includes the gate code. Otherwise, go to San Mateo Bridge Center for the code.
MASKS
At present, proof of vaccination is NOT required consistent with District 21’s present Covid policy. There is NO mask requirement at the tournament, unless a player at a table requests that masks be worn at that table. In that case, all players at that table are required to wear a mask. Please bring your mask to accommodate anyone requesting masking at their table
