Swiss Teams is like duplicate bridge, except you and your partner are teamed with another pair. When you play a hand, your teammates are also playing that hand, except the cards are switched so their opponents have your cards, and vice versa. Your team score for a hand is based on how you do compared to how they do on the same hand. So, for example, say you bid 4S on a hand, and their opponents also bid 4S. If you make 4S, but your teammates keep them to down 1, your team gets a very good score: 420 + 50 (even more if you are vulnerable).
