Happy Holidays Unit 498 Members!

Please join us on Saturday, December 14th for our Holiday Lunch, Unit Game, and Annual Meeting.  We will serve lunch at 11:30 and have a brief meeting at noon to review Unit 498’s 2024 activities and elect the 2025 Board members.  The game will start at 12:15.

November Unit 498 Game

Our November Unit Game saw eight tables battle it out in the Open Division, with Arline and Jim Van Ness placing first in E/W with a 68% game.  Janice Nakao and Arlie Lamb finished first in N/S with a 63% game. Amongst the four tables of players in the 499ers, Leslie Braker and Paula Linden came out on top.

Monterey Regional Tournament

After the bustle of December, join your bridge friends in Monterey for some ocean air and sunshine.  District 21 will host the popular Monterey Clambake Regional tournament on January 6-12, 2025 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel & Spa.  Please click this link for the Monterey Regional Flyer, and book your hotel rooms by December 9 for the discounted bridge rate with no resort fee.

Fundraising for the Alzheimer's Association

In 2024, Unit 498 was one of the top fundraisers for the Alzheimer’s Association, raising almost $40,000.  We will start our more formal fundraising efforts for 2025 in March.  If you are considering year-end giving opportunities, we’ve registered our 2025 Longest Day campaign now:  Longest Day Fundraiser
