December 13: Unit Game, Annual Meeting and Holiday Party
We had our Unit Game, Annual Meeting, and Holiday Party on Saturday, December 13. Thank you to Jenny for directing a fabulous game! And thank you to Eileen DiGiorgio and Leslie Braker
for organizing a fabulous holiday party for all 80+ unit members to enjoy!

And more thank you’s to everyone for donating toys, and Lauren Rosen for delivering them to Samaritan House. Our box was overflowing with approximately 70 toys to share with disadvantaged
children in our community. We are so grateful for your generosity during the holiday season!

We had our annual Unit meeting before the bridge game, as required by our by-laws, and elected two new board members along with the new executive committee, and were presented with a short financial
report.

San Francisco NABC
The North American Bridge Championships were held in San Francisco in early December. We only see the nationals here once every 7 years or so. It was great to see so many Unit
498 members there! We had about 100 members participate, with about 20 members earning over 20 masterpoints during the tournament. Congratulations to all who took some time to
find their way to the San Francisco Marriott Marquis and play. Hope you all enjoyed the experience!
New Year's Eve Celebration Game
Thank you, Jenny, for directing a special New Year’s Eve game! We had a spirited group of bridge players ranging from seasoned veterans to eager newcomers enjoying an evening of playing the game we
love, eating delicious dessert goodies, and celebrating the new year at the perfect time, midnight New York time and 9:00 pm west coast time!
We played a handicapped game and had lots of pairs earning master points. Siuling Ku and Ken Hui won the night with an awesome 72% game! Congratulations to everyone who came, earned some master
points, and enjoyed a wonderful evening ringing in the new year!
